About This Gathering

This community training day brought together young people from across our programmes to train, connect, and support each other. These gatherings strengthen the sense of belonging that is central to our work—students don't just participate in programmes, they become part of a community.

When young people feel they belong to something bigger than themselves, they're more likely to stay engaged, support their peers, and contribute positively to their wider communities.

What Community Connection Provides

  • Sense of belonging and social support
  • Positive peer relationships and role models
  • Shared identity and collective purpose
  • Opportunities for leadership and contribution
  • Network of support beyond individual programmes

Building Lasting Networks

The relationships formed through our community activities often last for years. Alumni return to support newer students, creating a cycle of mentorship and support that extends far beyond formal programme participation.

These networks become crucial resources as young people navigate education and career pathways—they have peers who understand their journey and can offer guidance, encouragement, and practical support.

From Participants to Community Leaders

Many of our most active community members started as participants and have grown into leadership roles. They organize activities, mentor newer students, and help create the welcoming environment that makes Apex Foundation effective.

This progression from participant to leader is exactly what we hope to see—young people developing the confidence, capability, and commitment to contribute positively to their communities.
